I am a committed full-time International Baccalaureate (IB) math tutor based in Singapore, offering comprehensive home tutoring, group tutoring and online tutoring services. My highest qualification is PhD (I hold PhD in Management, Major Finance, Best Postgraduate Student Award recipient). In addition, I also graduate with distinction with a Master of Applied Statistics.
With 11 years of teaching experience (as of 2023), I have imparted knowledge in mathematics and statistics at both secondary and tertiary levels. My versatile roles include serving as an assistant professor, mathematics and statistics advisor in a university setting, adjunct lecturer for diploma programs in polytechnics, and a private tutor. This includes an extensive experience in guiding master’s and PhD candidates through quantitative data analysis.
Furthermore, I have undergone training in teaching within a tertiary education framework and received specialized instruction on supervising postgraduate research. PROS AND CONS OF PRIVATE MATH TUITION
Pros
Sometimes it could be difficult to choose whether to take a private math tuition class or join a group tuition. I would like to offer some of my advice regarding the selection. The tutor only has one student to teach in a private math tuition class. Thus, the tutor would be able to give the full focus to the student. In addition, the structure of a class and how a lesson is being delivery will be customized according to the pace of the student.
Cons
However, the cost of private math tuition is normally more expensive than group tuition class.

Tips on taking a mathematics exam
- Translate problems into a language your understand.
- Analyze a question carefully before computing, especially a problem worth a lot of points.
- Make a picture. Sometimes drawing picture/diagram can help you understand a question better.
- Check your work in an organize manner. Make sure you perform the some of the required checking procedure such as
