Geometry Coordinate – Equation of Lines
Question
Solve the following equation of lines questions.
- If the y-intercept is 9 while the gradient is 10, state the equation of the line.
- A straight line pass through the origin. If the gradient is 2, what is the equation of the line?
- Form the equation of the line for two points (1,1) and (2,5) that fall within the line.
Answer
- y = 10x + 9
- y = 2x
- y = 4x – 3
Note:
- y = mx + c
- Where, m refers to the gradient, while c is the y-intercept.
